When
Bill Gates founded Microsoft his dream was “A computer in every home
that anyone could use.” According to the USDOC in 1984 1 out of 5, or 47
million people age 3 years of age or older used a computer.
Newer,
more secure, innovative operating systems, faster, cooler, more
efficient processors, as well as a sough of HD video and audio cards and
massive hard drives have hit the market since 1982 when the anonymous
quote from a BBC radio broadcast aired “ to err is human, but to really foul things up requires a computer.” Showing the feelings consumers once had about computers.
Today
overall consumers are more optimistic about the impact of computers
such as: advances in education and new career opportunities. However
optimistic about the added convenience of computers many consumers are
guarded of the risks of computers such as identity theft.
