Week 6 Research and Opinion Paper3
Many
consumers and Businesses are unwilling to upgrade their operating
systems, because of the inconvenience of learning and embracing the new
software. However in reality many of the operating systems have a basic
setup.
Windows
XP and Windows Vista for instance have many of the same features.
However businesses liked XP. New operating systems have there flaws
especially when first released. The time and money that a new operating
system could cost a company is huge. They have to pay for the software,
they have to pay to train their employees and any down time and errors
that the new operating system could cause could cost the company their daily profit and production.
I
believe businesses have a justified reason for not upgrading their
software immediately but after the initial errors of the operating
system have been solved that there is no reason for businesses not to
upgrade, especially because it will help them maintain competitiveness
with newer companies, and keep them compatible with newer software as
it’s released.
For
home users they should upgrade at anytime, it is wise for consumers to
stay informed with the rapidly evolving technology world.
